PEGM Founder, Pastor Arlene Mitchell

Pastor Arlene Mitchell is the founder and CEO of Prayer & Empowerment Global Ministries (PEGM) and Arlene Mitchell Coaching & Consulting, LLC. A native New Yorker, she was raised in a Christian home where prayer was a priority. Arlene witnessed the power of prayer first-hand every Monday night in their home where her mother, the late Lillian Marie Reed, held Monday Night Prayer for the community. Countless persons have prevailed in victory as a credit to her mother’s faithfulness to intercession.

Arlene likewise has encountered a plethora of experiences that were the catalyst for her own journey in the discipline of prayer. Her journey began with the sudden and untimely death of her first husband. Through this experience, she answered the call to intercession then birthed an audio instructional guide through grief. Her greater testimony of God’s personal promise to deliver and heal came during her challenge to survive cancer - not once, but twice! Through her powerful testimony and evidence of physical and emotional healing, she became known as "A Miracle in Motion."

Arlene’s commitment to prayer led her to move by faith to North Carolina where she transitioned into full-time ministry as a spiritual advisor to individuals and corporate companies. In the past ten years, she has traveled extensively, conducting seminars and empowerment meetings nationwide under the umbrella of Prayer and Empowerment: The Sister Saturday Experience. Through the birthing of this ministry, God has healed, delivered, and empowered hundreds of women nationwide.

Today, Arlene has a constant online presence through social media, currently reaching nearly 4,000 viewers weekly. Her online prayer lessons, one-on-one mentoring and prayer coaching, and her commitment to seeking the Lord’s face for instruction have made her a much sought-after leader for the 21st century.

In 2017, it became apparent that Arlene had become personally responsible for the spiritual care and covering of numerous believers in various parts of the United States. In response, she answered the call to pastor without walls. Under the mentorship of Dr. Craig Coates, Pastor Mitchell continues to develop the vision God has given her to win souls, empower believers, and impact the nations with the message of effectual fervent prayer!
